2026 CWS Casting Shadows

The People's Building, 9995 E Colfax Ave, Aurora, CO, 80010-2163 This exhibit is open to all artists 18 years of age or older that (1) reside in Colorado, or (2) reside in the United States and are Colorado Watercolor Society members.  Each artist may enter up to 3 paintings.  Accepted artists will not have more than 1 painting in the Exhibition. Our theme for this show is "Casting Shadows." And as always, you're free to interpret this in any way you'd like. While traditionally we might think of the shadows as where evil and sinister things dwell, for the artist the shadows are the parts of a painting that make the highlights sing. Rather than black holes, the shadows in our paintings are often full of depth and vibrancy. We're excited to see what you come up with.
