Beyond the Surface: A Mixed Media Exhibition > Register & Apply The Art Center invites artists to submit work for  Beyond the Surface: A Mixed Media Exhibition , a  national juried exhibition  exploring the limitless possibilities that emerge when artists combine materials,techniques, and ideas. Mixed media is artwork that combines two or more artistic materials, techniques, or processes within a single piece. Artists may incorporate painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, collage, fiber, found objects, digital elements, assemblage, sculpture, and other creative approaches to create layered and innovative works that push beyond traditional artistic boundaries.
