Weathered & Fired: Barnstormers and Atmospheric Fired Ceramics
Artspiration Frederick invites artists and ceramicists to submit original work inspired by barns, farms, rural landscapes, and the passage of time in Frederick County. From plein air painting, weathered wood, and rusted metal to atmospheric fired ceramics that embrace the elements, we want to see your interpretations!

- Shipped works must arrive by: September 29, 2026 (Shipping is at the cost of the artist; return shipping label must be included)
- Pick up dates after the close of the exhibit:
- November 2 - 3, 2026, 10:00 -4:00 (unsold shipped work will be shipped back to the artist at this time using artist provided prepaid shipping label)
- The gallery admission is free and open to the public, and handicap accessible.
Ceramics Juror: Tony Clennell, a second-generation Canadian potter has taught workshops in Canada, the US, Japan, China, Korea, Wales, Italy and Portugal. He has an MFA from Utah State University and is a member of the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts. Tony has exhibited in museums and collections in North America, Europe and Asia.
Plein Air Juror: Kimberly Yourick, founder and manager of Lockhouse Gallery in Brunswick, Maryland, Kimberly received her BFA in metalsmithing from the Washington University Sam Fox School of Design and Visual Arts in St. Louis. In addition to metalwork, she is an accomplished oil painter specializing in plein air landscapes. She is represented by Nepenthe Gallery.
