Echoes of Valor

Artspiration Frederick is excited to announce a call for artists for its first Veteran Art Exhibition, on display in the Artspiration Gallery from November 7, 2026, through November 29, 2026. Echoes of Valor is an art exhibition honoring the creative voices, lived experiences, and artistic excellence of military veterans, military families, and those exploring themes of military service. Artists are encouraged to submit original work in any visual medium, including painting, drawing, photography, printmaking, sculpture, fiber art, ceramics, mixed media, digital art, and other forms of creative expression. The exhibition seeks to showcase a diverse range of artistic voices, perspectives, techniques, and subject matter.

• Exhibition dates: November 6 - 29, 2026
• Deadline for entries: October 11, 2026
• Juror’s Notification emailed the week of: October 19, 2026
• Artists Reception: November 14, 2026, 3:00-5:00
• Drop off accepted works dates: October 26-27, 2026
  • 10:00 - 4:00
• Shipped works must arrive by: October 26, 2026 (Shipping is at the cost of the artist; return shipping label must be included)
• Pick up dates after the close of the exhibit: 
  • November 30 & December 1, 2026 
    • 10:00 - 4:00
    • (unsold work will be shipped back to the artist at this time at artist expense)
• The gallery admission is free and open to the public, and handicap accessible.
   

Juried by Veteran/artist Cynthia Scott-Johnson and Russ Hodge. They are the owners of Gaslight Gallery in Downtown Frederick, MD as well as Three Roads Communications.
