Express your artistic world of human emotions and feelings

What does it mean to feel?

Every brushstroke, every chisel mark, every line on a canvas is an echo of something deeper—joy, sorrow, longing, rage, peace, or awe. Emotions are not just responses; they are the heartbeat of human experience and the soul of art.

Gallerium proudly invites you to be part of Emotions 2026, the 6th annual international smart group exhibition, publication, and sales that celebrates the infinite language of human emotion.

Emotions - 2026 (6th Annual) invites artists to showcase their artistic perspective on the myriad of feelings and emotions that make us human. Submissions are now open for this deeply personal and globally inclusive art opportunity.

Why Emotions Matter in Art?

Because art is felt before it is understood.

Because the world is in desperate need of connection, empathy, and truth.

Because your art can give a voice to the invisible stories we carry inside.

This opportunity is more than awards and exposure—it's an invitation to be vulnerable, to be bold, and to help others feel seen.

Themes to Explore

We welcome works that express the full spectrum of emotional experience, including but not limited to:

Ecstasy and Joy – Moments of pure delight, bliss, laughter, and freedom.

Melancholy and Loss – Honest reflections of grief, absence, and memory.

Love and Intimacy – From romantic passion to friendship, parental affection, or soul connections.

Rage and Rebellion – Confronting injustice, inner battles, or global unrest.

Peace and Stillness – Meditations on harmony, acceptance, and solitude.

Wonder and Curiosity – Expressing awe, childhood innocence, and discovery.

Hope and Healing – Stories of resilience, recovery, and inner growth.

Fear and Vulnerability – Shedding light on hidden anxieties, phobias, or trauma.

Shame and Guilt – Raw, unfiltered explorations of internal struggle.

Longing and Nostalgia – Works that ache with memory or desire.

Empathy and Compassion – Art that listens, reaches out, and connects.

Euphoria and Triumph – Celebrating breakthroughs, victories, and self-love.

Spiritual Awakening – Emotional transcendence, faith, and revelation.

Isolation and Loneliness – The silent echo of being unseen.

You are encouraged to submit art that reflects a single, powerful emotion—or journeys through a complex blend of feelings and psychological states. We encourage you to push the boundaries of traditional artistic expression and explore the nuances of human sentiment through innovative techniques and perspectives.

The Expanding Landscape of Emotion

The emotional spectrum is as vast and intricate as humanity itself. Renowned psychologist Paul Eckman identified six core emotions shared across all cultures: Happiness, Sadness, Fear, Disgust, Anger, and Surprise.

But our emotional lives extend far beyond these foundational six.

As research evolved, scholars have recognized many more—Love, Affection, Longing, Amusement, Contempt, Contentment, Embarrassment, Guilt, Shame, Excitement, Pride, Satisfaction, Relief, Caring, Compassion, Tenderness, and more.

In fact, a recent study by the Greater Good Science Center at UC Berkeley suggests there are at least 27 distinct human emotions, all richly interconnected and nuanced.

These discoveries affirm what artists have always known:
Emotion is never just one thing—it’s layered, shifting, alive.
And through art, these feelings take shape, offering a glimpse into the universal truths that unite us.

Only jury-selected artists will pay a selection fee of USD 40

An early bird selection fee with a 15% discount (USD 34) will be offered.

Up to 10 artworks can be submitted.

A maximum of two artworks will be selected per artist.

Jury Process

We use two phases for jurying. The first phase of jurying is the Yes/No selection, and the 2nd part is the scoring model. For scoring, each jury member scores artworks from 1 to 10. Artworks with the highest scores in the "Yes" group will be selected.

Why Selection Fee?

Submission to this art opportunity is free of charge, and we only ask the selected artists to pay a small fixed fee to proceed.

This decision was made in good faith because we wanted artists to only pay when selected. We have a thorough jury process as our art opportunities are popular and have a low acceptance rate.
