Call for Exhibit Proposals

The Museum of Northern California Art (monca) invites Northern California artists to submit proposals for a solo or small group exhibition in our Phillips Gallery. We require that the artworks have been produced primarily in Northern California, and the artist(s) must currently reside in Northern California. (Click here for eligible counties)

Application deadline: September 12, 2026

Available time slots are:

Exhibition dates: March 11 - April 25, 2027 (6 weeks)

Hand deliver work to monca by March 7

Install work: March 8,9,10

Opening Reception: Friday, March 12, 6-8pm

Deinstallation: Sunday, April 25, starting at 5:00pm

Exhibition dates: August 5  - September 19, 2027 (7 weeks)

Hand deliver work to monca by August 1

Install work: August 2,3,4

Opening Reception: Friday, August 6, 6-8pm

Deinstallation: Sunday, September 19, starting at 5:00pm

Exhibition dates: September 23 - November 14, 2027 (8 weeks)

Hand deliver work to monca by September 19

Install work: September 20,21,22

Opening Reception: Friday, September 24, 6-8pm

Deinstallation: Sunday November 14, starting at 5:00pm

Exhibition dates: November 18, 2027 - January 9, 2028 (8 weeks)

Hand deliver work to monca by November 14

Install work: November 15,16,17

Opening Reception: Friday, November 19, 6-8pm

Deinstallation: Sunday January 9, 2028, starting at 5:00pm

Delivery Information

All artwork must be hand delivered and installed by the artist, or by artist’s designee.
